For most of us, BBO is now part of our bridge life and many of our members access BBO via the app on their phones or tablets. It’s just so handy but…did you know that it’s cheaper to top up your account from your browser rather than via the BBO app?
Apple/Google take a hefty chunk of any payments made via the app, which BBO then pass onto the player, so Be BBO$ Wise and use your browser instead.
If you need any help with this or have any questions, please contact James, on itsupport@aberdeenbridgeclub.co.uk
Thanks to everyone for a great turnout and congratulations to the winners, Brian Willox and Teresa Dearden!
The club will be open for play on Mondays 23rd and 30th December but will otherwise be closed for the weeks of Christmas and New Year. Normal arrangements will resume from Monday 6th January.
Bookings are now open. Use the Registration Form.
Thanks to all 42 members who came along and supported the Festival of Bridge Fun Friday event on 13th September. We raised a total of £332.97 for Cancer Research UK for the week of Festival of Bridge. Everyone enjoyed themselves, the food was delicious (thanks to Val Morrison, club member and caterer) and the amazing bridge hands provided by Mike Hodder, Steve and Loraine Findlay entertained us all at every level, and hopefully we will never again fall into such devious traps that resulted in going down by 7 tricks despite having 29 points in one hand! The results are available here. The magic card tricks displayed by Cameron amused and baffled us all – he lowered the average age of party goers considerably.
All in all a great social event for a good cause.
