This is not a difficult job, but it does take a little time to set everything
up, particularly on a Monday evening.
When to arrive
Please arrive no later than 30 minutes before the start of the session.
This allows enough time for the urn to heat up.

Before the session
-
Milk will be brought in by Carole or Neil. If they are
on holiday, they will arrange for someone else to bring it. -
Stocks of biscuits, coffee and teabags are kept in the storage area
of the bar.
Set up the coffee station
- Empty the dishwasher from the previous session, if this has not already been done.
- Check the sign-up sheets for the expected number of players.
- Set up the coffee station for your floor.
- Fill the urn and switch it on.
Set out:
- Enough mugs for the number of players expected.
- Spoons.
- 2 bowls for used spoons, teabags, etc.
- Coffee, tea and sugar — refill the containers if necessary.
- Milk — kept in the fridge on the first floor.
-
The plastic biscuit box — refill with a mixture of plain and
chocolate biscuits.
At the end of the session
-
Encourage players to put their own cups in the dishwasher during the
evening rather than leaving them all until the end. -
Switch on the dishwasher no later than 9.15 pm.
A cycle takes approximately 30 minutes. -
Tidy away everything from your coffee station. Leave only the urn and
cups on the table upstairs, and the urn on the bar counter downstairs. -
Check that no biscuit wrappers or other rubbish have been left in the
card-playing room.
Before you leave
